Wasim Khan a resident of Imli Ghat of Udaipur was arrested by police on Tuesday from Swaroop Sagar area and a pistol was recovered from him.
Sobudh Jangid In charge of Special Task Force on Tuesday got a reliable information about a man armed with a pistol is roaming at Swaroop Sagar area with some illicit intentions, a police team under Subudh raided the area and nabbed the an accused identified as Wasim Khan, upon checking his cloths a country made pistol is recovered from him upon which he was arrested and booked under several sections of IPC and Arms Act.
During the initial interrogation accused Wasim revealed that he has bought the pistol to threaten the people for money, Police said.
As per cops Wasim is an habitual offender and has cases registered on his name at various police station.
