The prime accused in the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Yuvraj Singh Chauhan of Mandsaur town of MP was arrested at Udaipur on Tuesday.
He was arrested by Udaipur police on Tuesday from near Roadways Bus Stand located at Udiapol area.
The victim a local house bearer of VHP and a cable operator by profession Yuvraj Singh Chauhan (37) was shot dead by bike borne accused near a tea shop near Geeta Nagar area in October 2019,and murder was suspected to be an outcome of business dispute.
The master mind of the Chauhan’s murder Deepak Tanwar also runs a cable tv business in Mandsaur town and was having several cases registered against him and also having a reward of Rs.10000 on his head.
According to Sp Kailash Chandra Bishnoi with an intention to mislead police accused came to Udaipur before victim’s murder and later get him killed with the help of hired shooters, police has already arrested 3 proffesional shooters in connection with the murder but the master mind Tanwar was on run.
While on run he went to various cities of the country but eventually got arrested by Udaipur police,he was produced infront of court that remanded him under police custody remand.
Udaipur police had informed Mandsair police about Tanwar’s arrest and now interrogating him further in relation to the murder and had also recovered a country made pistol and two live bullets from him.
The victim was reportedly shot in the chest and he died on the spot, the investigation suggested that he was killed over cable operation disputes.
