Udaipur all set to celebrate 350th birthday of Guru Gobind Singh.

As a part of the  birthday celebration of Guru Govind Singh, the local Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar will organise various events including procession and mass feeding (Langar).

The 3 day celebration  will start on 3rd January and will continue till January 5th,said Tajendra Singh Robin President of the Association of Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar.

A huge procession will be taken out by the community on 3rd January that will start from Shashtri Cirlce area and will pass through major circles of the city and will conclude at Gurudwara in the evening  by 6.30 pm , a musical band a team performing traditional martial arts and singing of holy hyms wilk be a part of the holy procession.

On the occasion all the city circles will be decorated and various stalls to serve drinking water will be installed.

With a view to tackle any accident during the procession an ambulance and medical staff will be made available by Fortis Hospital that is about to open in the city.

On 4th and 5th January a ‘Kirtan Samagan’ will be orgsnised at the Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar in which Gurbani reciters and Kirtan Singers including the group of Baldev Singh Sahab from Amritsar and Mehtab Singh Sahab  and Satvant Singh Sahab from Jhalandar will take part. In the series events an award ceremony will also be organised to honor more than 100 people including elders and children for the extra ordinary work done by them in the various fields, said Tajendra Singh

Another major attraction will be Langar ( common kitchen) in which thousands of people will be served food cutting the barriers of castes.
