The security at the Maharana Pratap Airport of Udaipur has been escalated on Thursday after the port authorities has allegedly received a call about bomb threat.
The police department has lodged an FIR against the unknown caller and has started his search.
The Airport authorities later informed the cops and also called the bomb squad for help, upon getting the information of the incidence the representatives of security agencies rushed to the Airport and initiated the search, within few minutes the whole airport premises was emptied, all the passengers and staff was sent out of the premises and the area was thoroughly checked but everyone has taken a sigh of relief when nothing suspicious has been found there, sources said.
The search operation continued for more than an hour and all the people present inside the Airport was sent out of it, sources informed.
The Airpot Director Santosh Kumar informed that during the checking no suspicious object has been found within the port premises and the information has been considered as fake, but the movements of flights has delayed for few hours.
