Two MBBS students held for selling Remdisivir injections on high prices

A joint team of District Special Task Force and Hiran Magri police station has arrested two MBBS students for selling Remdisivir injections on high prices in the market on Wednesday.

According to Additional Sp City Gopal Swaroop Mewara both the accused MBBS students identified as Dr.Mohammed Abir Khan (27) resident of Savina area and Dr.Mohit Patidar (21) resident of Dungarpur were held by the team of police while they were busy dealing with the customer.

The DST team was getting the tipoff that these accused were selling the injections to people on prices higher than their actual price, reacting upon the information a decoy customer (under cover policeman) was made to contact the accused to make a deal with them.

Mewara said a decoy customer was send by the police team after getting a tipoff about the racket dealing in the injections in high prices to the needy people, the deal between the decoy customer and the duo of the accused were locked in Rs. 35000 for each injection.

Mewara added two MBBS students were arrested so far but it is a racket and the team is interrogating them further for getting the details of others involved in the nexus.

According to the information 6 people were arrested at Jaipur for selling the Remdesivir injections in Rs. 15000 each.

Remdesivir doesn’t cure coronavirus. But the experimental drug, which may speed up recovery from a COVID-19 infection, is currently the best treatment against a virus that’s on a global rampage.
