Three including a woman arrested for smuggling more than 2 kgs of Opium in Udaipur

Three accused including a woman and her son arrested for smuggling 2.25 kilograms of  worth lakhs of rupees at Haridas ji ki magri area under Ambamata police station circle on Thursday.

According to police the accused were in search of someone to smuggle the consignment of the drugs.

Diveluging details the station house officer of Hathipol police station and the investigating incharge of the case Adarsh Kumar told Daily Udaipur” The action was taken on the basis of the tipoff from sources that few persons including a middle aged woman are present at Haridas ji ki magri area with around 2 kilograms of Opium and are about to smuggle it, reacting on the information the Ambamata police laid a raid in the area and held 3 accused with 2.2kilograms of Opium in there custody, police confiscated the drugs from them and booked them under various sections of NDPS Act, they were produced infront of court  and were remanded under 3 dayw of police custody remand”.

The trio was identified as Vishal Joshi a resident of Semari village, Komal Vaishnav and his mother Lali Devi residents of Chittorgarh district, police is questioning them further in relation to the drugs and the people involved in the nexus, police is also trying to get the criminal history of the arrested accused, said Adarsh.
