A gang of thieves broke into one the jewellery shop of the city and had decamped with gold and silver ornaments on Tuesday night.
The skills shown in making a hole in one of the single brick thick wall and attempt to open the wallet kept inside the shop led the police to assume that the gang of thieves is not a local one.
According to police one Prashant Kothari of Bhopalpura area own a jewellery shop with the name of T-Jwellers,Kothari in his complaint to police mentioned that he discovered the theft on Wednesday after he reached at his shop located at Bapu Bazar, he found that the accused had barked into his shop by making a hole in one of its wall and had picked 40- 45 gold rings, 1.5 grams of other gold ornaments and 1.5 kilograms of silver articles worth Lakhs of rupees from the shop.
The investigators during the preliminary investigators found that the thieves have first climbed up the terrace of a nearby under construction building and than jumped over to the shop’s terrace and entered into it later by making a hole in the wall, police said.
The investigators also found that the gang of accused also attempted to break the wallet of the shop containing huge number of jwellery in it, but failed to open it and fled the scene with the stolen gold and silver ornaments, said police.
Police however have questioned some of suspects of the area in relation to the theft and also putting their efforts to identify and arrest the accused.
