An attractive offer saying ‘get two thalis free on the purchase of one’ got viral on Facebook on Saturday morning on the name of city’s Natraj Restaurant Dining Hall, however it turned out to be fake.
According to the owner of the Dining Hall Mayank Shrimali he got a call on Saturday morning from one of his customer who asked him about the such an offer but he denied from any such offer,but the customer shared the audio clip of the conversion between him and the person who called him for the offer”.
According to the audio clip the suspected caller who called him on the name of the Dinning Hall shared the menu card and asked him to pay Rs.500 through Credit Card/ Debit Card or Google Pay and shared him a link, said Station House Officer of Surajpol police station Ram Sumer Meena.
The customer was asked provide all confidential detail of his bank card including CVV number, Card Number and expiry date.
He fill the google form on the link and also paid Rs.500 to the suspect.
An FIR has been lodged at Surajpol police station and an investigation has been launched, said Meena.
In the preliminary investigation it was found that the number from which the call was made is registered at Bihar,Meena added further.
