Students tied Rakhis to Cops on Raksha Bandhan.

By following the instructions of the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and DPG the Udaipur Police department on Thursday celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan in a different by getting Rakhi tied on their wrist from the students of Colleges, and Schools and Orphans houses.



Not only at Udaipur the festival was celebrated by the police department with students across the state where more than 4000 police officers including SP, ADSps, Cos and SHOs has got rakhi tied on their wrist from the girls studying at various colleges and schools.

Here at Udaipur the Rakhi Celebration that was held at the premises of Reserve Police Line started at 10.30 in the morning, the girls from Commerce College , Science College, Mother Teresa Ashram, Government Senior Secondary School Police Line, Geetanjali Medical College, Bhramhakumari and Hadi Rani Battalion got excited on meeting senior officials, but the cops were seen in relaxed mood.


On the occasion the Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Goyal interacted with the girls and educated them about the hierarchy of the police department, he also said that motive of the CM behind taking such an initiative is to bridge the gap between the people and the cops, on the other hand getting Rakhi tied from the young girls also boost the cops with a sense of responsibility and make them more enthusiast towards their safety.


On the eve of Rakha Bandhan we also take oath to always take measures for the safety of every woman of the district and assure them to protect them as brothers, said Goyal.

Additional SP Head Quarter Chandra Sheel Thakur introduced the girls with the other senior officials after that they tied Rakhis to the Station House Officers and Deputy Superintendents and Additional Sps.


The girls at first got nervous by interacting with the senior cops but later they enjoyed the programs when sweets and other gifts were distributed among them. The officials felt excited after getting Rakhis tied from the students and they promised them to take care of their sister’s safety.


The SP R.P Goyal was accompanied by Additional Sp Chandrasheel Thakur, Deputy Sp Goverdhan Singh, Deputy Sp Bhagwat Singh Hingar, SHOs of Various police station including Chandmal Sangaria, Rajendra Singh Jain, Jitendra Anchaliya, Anil Dewal and Rajesh Sharma.
