By exposing the invlovment of police department in illegal extraction and transportaion of sand and gravels the Special Unit of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested the Station House Officer of Khamnor police station of Rajsamnd district while accepting Rs.20000 from the complainent for not taking action against him on extraction of sand from the filed,said Additional Sp ACB Surendra Sungh Bhati.
According to Bhati the complainent a resident of Nichli Odhan of Nathdwara Man Singh had recently filled a complaint against the SHO Mahesh Chandra Meena of Khamnor police station for demanding Rs.20000 for not taking action against him even if him extract sand and gravels from the fields in his area.
The ACB verified the complaint on 5th June in which it was found that the accused SHO was actually demanding the bribe amount from tje victim,upon verifying the complaint the ACB team led a trap on Tuesday and nabbed the accused red handed while he was accepting the bride amount from the complainent.
As per the information earlier to this the accused SHO came in ACB’s twice but some how managed to avert the arrest, in 2007 when he was posted as a Head Constable at Rajsamnd police ACB received complaint against him for demanding bribe of Rs.20000 but he some how averted the arrest that time,in another incidence ACB received complaint against him for demanding bribe when he was posted at Devgarh police station but he was lucky enough to escape the arrest.
With this incidence the ACB not only has exposed the corrupt police officer but also exposed that how the police is giving patronage to the illegal extraction of sand and gravels by exchange of money.
