Sarafa Bazar closed againstproposed Excise duty.

By displaying strong bitterness over the proposed Excise Duty on the Jewelry and Diamond announced in the Union budget 2016 the Sarafa traders on Thursday gone on three days Statewide Band.

Except the jewelry traders of Fatah Nagar all other traders has kept their shops closed all over the division.

Inder Singh Mehta President of Udaipur Sarafa Association informed that the decision of keeping their shops closed for three days was taken by the members of their association during the meeting held on Wednesday.

Mehta further added that following their protest the Sarafa traders of Udaipur will conduct a rally that will reach to the Collectorate and present a memorandum to the administrative officers on the name of Prime Minister of the country. He also informed that there are more than 700 Sarafa traders in the city that has kept their shops closed altogether willingly and will keep them closed for next two days.
