Patwari caught red handed while accepting bribe at Nimbaheda

A team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Udaipur on Monday caught a patwari red handed while taking Rs.8000 in bribe. 

Additional SP ACB Sudhir Joshi said that one Narendra Singh Jaroli a resident of Bangreda area of Nimbaheda district had lodged a complaint with ACB against that the patwari Vijay Adiwal was demanding bribe of Rs.8000 from him.

The ACB team caught the accused through a trap laid by Adsp  ACB Udaipur Sudhir Joshi.

Joshi said that the accused was arrested under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act while he was accepting the bribe amount of Rs.8000 from the complainant of Bangreda village of Nimbaheda for issuing him documents pertaining the division of his land.

Joshi said the complainant owns a piece of land he got orders from the SDM court, when he approached the patwari for making map of the land for its division he demanded Rs.15000 as bribe for doing his work, later after negotiations he reduced the amount to Rs.12000 and took Rs.4000 from his in advance and asked him to bring the remaining amount at his office on Monday, but annoyed with him the complainant Narendra approached ACB for action against him.
