A 26 year old man got injured in a day light incidence of firing at Mullatalai circle on Tuesday afternoon. The police have suspected property dispute between two active gangs behind the firing.
The incidence occurred on Tuesday when the victim Mohammad Hussain from Khunjarwadi area went to Mullatalai circle with his friends in his car, as soon as Hussain and his aids came out of their car a duo of bike borne accused came towards the victim and opened fire on him, one of the bullet got hit at Husain’s abdominal part whereas the other one got missed, the accused bikers fled from the scene leaving Hussain injured on the spot, said police.
Victim’s friends later rushed him to a private hospital for treatment and also informed the police about the incidence, huge number of policemen including the ADSp city Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj, DYSP Subhagya Singh and DYsp Manjeet Singh, SHO of Ambamata police station Rajendra Singh Jain, SHO Hathipol police station Rajesh Sharma, in charge of Special Task Force Abdul Rehman , rushed to the scene and started the investigation of the matter.
According to the Additional Sp City Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj the victim is a habitual offender and younger brother of the History Sheeter Imran Kunjara that is involved in severe crimes like murder, extrusion and assault.
During the preliminary interrogation of the matter the cops learnt that Hussain and his associates are having a prolonged dispute over a piece of land with the members of another gang of the city, following that they had a fight with each other few days back and the leader of that gang got injured in that. Prima fascia it was believed that the victim could have been targeted by the assailants in relation to the old issue, but the actual picture can be revealed once the investigation move ahead.
As per the police Hussain along with 4 of his friends went to the graveyard situated at Ashok Nagar and after that headed towards Mullatalai circle to a tea stall, but as soon as they came out of the car the bike borne riders targeted the victim and opened fire on him, the area was gripped by tension and before anybody can take action the accused fled from the scene on their black motor bike.
A complaint has been registered against the accused and the hunt for the identification and arrest of the accused has been started by the cops.
