More than 70 people detained for attacking villagers, arms seized: Mautana.

The relatives of a 55 year old woman who allegedly burnt herself to death on Saturday  night staged a protest outside at her house for the demand of the compensation (Muatana) by claiming that it was not a suicide  and she was set on fire by her on laws.

The incidence occurred on Saturday  night when the victim woman Ambavi Bai Damor (55) set her self  on fire her in laws house situated at Pai village under Nai police station circle , during the incidence she had sustained severe burn injures and she scummbed to death within few minutes.
Later on Sunday morning  relatives of the victim woman were informed  about the mishap at  Falasia village  of the district ,upon getting the information of the mishap around 300-400  armed people rushed to the village and staged a protest claiming that their woman was killed by her in laws.

But the scene turned ugly  on Monday morning when all the annoyed relatives of the victim pelted stones on the villagers including the  in laws of the deceased woman, the inlaws rushed from the village and hide themselves behinds the hills of the area.

Upon  getting the information of the incidence a huge police consignment was deployed on the spot that later controlled the situation with mild Lathi Charge, moreover at least 70 people were also detained under section 384 of IPC  for demanding Mutana and for attacking the innocent villagers, said Dysp Ranu Sharma.
All the accused were armed as they want to attack the in laws of the victim woman, but before they can target them the police has detained them and has also seized a huge numbers of arms from them, on the hand the dead body of deceased was finally shifted to mortuary for postmortem.
