The atmosphere of Devas Muhalla of Sukher area got tensed on Friday night after a man was caught by the villagers in suspicious condition from the backyard of a local resident, the villagers undressed him and tied him with a pole, later the mob handed him over to police claiming that he was caught by them while he was attempting to do objectionable activities with cattle. But police has denied having any information about such incidence. Police said that he was rushed by the locals to the police station while he was attempting theft at one of the house of the area.
The accused was identified as Radhe an auto rickshaw driver that hails from Gorakhpur, U.P and was staying at Devas Muhalla from last few years, the villagers claimed that Radhe was targeting the cattle since last few months, the villagers started keeping eye on him after getting complaints about him, upon verifying the information on Friday night they nabbed him from the backyard of one Hemraj.
The villagers further added that the accused use to cover the faces of the animals with a piece of cloth before doing objectionable activities with them.
On the other side the Station House officer of Sukher police station Mangi Lal Panwar denied from any such incidence and said that the man was caught while he was attempting theft, an FIR has been registered against him and he is still under police interrogation .
