Udaipur Inspector General of Police (IGP) Binita Thakur along with the Superintendent of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi inuagurated the 31st Road Safety Week here at Police Community Hall on Tuesday.
The week is jointly organised by District Administration, RTO,Traffic Police and Information and Public Awarenesses Department.
Adressing on the occasion SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi said’Road Safety weeks os all about spreading awareness of the traffic rules specially amongs the youth as it is observed that youth often becomes victims of the road mishaps in most of the cases and motivating them to follow safety rules through various programs will help to reduce such incidences”.
Students of various private and government schools has given colorful performances and an exhibition was also organised by the their safety clubs during the inaugural event.
Apart from that a photo exhibition of the students of Anushka Academy was also inaugurated by the IG on the occasion in which the photographs of the work done bu them regarding the road safety awareness from 27th January to 3rd February were dispalyed.
The Road Transport Officer Prakash Singh Rathore and ADM administration OP Bonkar both appretiated the work done the volunteers in relation to road safety.
On this occasion IG Binita Thakur and SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi Chandra also felicitated 50 students of Anushka Academy for volunteering and lending their services in spreading the road safety awareness.
SP Bishnoi also flagged off a cycle rally during the event, around 300 students pf various schools, institutions and NGO has perticipated in the inaugural event of the 31st Road Safety Week.
Besides that all Additional Sps, Deputy Sps, and representative of Road Transport Department and NGOs also remained present in the event.
