Home Minister Kataria visits Inter rang Police basket ball tournament at Udaipur.

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday attended the 3 days long State level inter range Basket Ball tournament organised by the police department at the MPUAT indoor stadium.

During his visit Kataria met the players and later started the match by throwing the ball in the air.

On the second day of the tournament Kataria met the participants and has distributed basket ball kits among them.

While interacting with the players Kataria said that the police department symbolises strength and power, every cop should stay fit and healthy and sports also plays important role in keeping them fit, the department should alway focus on organising such tournaments on State, National and International level, it will not only give a platform to the deserving people to display their talent but also help them in their promotion.

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Vice Chancellor of MPUAT Uma Shanker Sharma, SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal and players and representatives of various basket ball teams were also present at the event.

The Home Minister was welcomed by SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal , Adsp Chandrasheel Thakur and other officers of the department, Goyal later provided him all information of the tournament that will continue till Wednesday.
Adsp Chandrasheel Thakur informed that the Inter range tournament started on Monday and it was inaugrated by District collector Rohit Gupta, Thakur said that more than 200 players from 9 ranges are participating in the event.

On the first day of the event 6 matches were played and on Wednesday 4 matches were played between the Women teams of Udaipur and Kota ranges, Men teams of Jaipur Commisonerate and Ajmer, where as In First Semi Finals the Men team of Jodhpur range defeated RAC Men’s team and in second Semi Final Men’s team of Udaipur range defeated Jaipur’s team by scoring 70 points.
