India’s most affordable phone Freedom 251 has been finally launched on Wednesday for the price of Rs. 251.
A smart phone with 4 inch WVGA Resolution Display features a I GB RAM, 8 GB total storage space, the dual SIM 3G capable phone is having a 3.2 Megapixel camera on its back.
But the scene reportedly took another turn when has logged in on Freedom251.com for booking and found the site itself crashed for sometime in the morning, however the booking for the phone which has started on February 18th will ends on February 21st morning till 8 o’clock.
The thought of launching country’s first own mobile phone was inspired by the country’s PM Narendra Modi’s initiative of empowering India’s last person to transform country’s growth story, the price of the phone was kept under Rs.500.
But the company Ringing Bells has stopped the booking of the world’s most affordable mobile phone ‘Freedom251’ on Saturday seeing the heavy demands in its first phase, on day 1 the company has received more 3.6 carore registration requests and on day 2 around 2.40 carore registration request were received.
The newly entered contestant in the market Ringing Bells has recently launched one of country’s cheapest 4G phone in a price range of Rs. 2999, and two other fully featured phones.
