Ten people including 4 petrol pump employees and 6 of its customers got injured in an explosion that took place at a petrol pump at Dungarpur district of Udaipur on Wednesday.
Station House Officier Dungarpur Kotwali police station Chandmal Sangaria said the mishap occured due to explosion in the generator kept the petrol pump,the impact of the explosion was such that the generator got completely damaged and one of the pump got demolished.
The incidence occured at Nilkanth filling sration located st Shanti Nagsr areaof Dungarpur when the customers were busy getting the tanks od thier vehicles filled with fuel, upon getting the information of the mishap police and team of fire fighters rushed to the scene and initiated the rescue operation,the victim’s were rescued and rushed to the hospital for treatment, the condition of one of the injured is critcal while others were out of danger,SHO Chandmal added.
The injured were identified as Mannilal of Indrakhet,Bansilal Damor of Balwara,Lal Shankar Koted of Indrakhet,Dhanpal Parmar of Narniya,Prakash Ahari of Nalwa,Anil Katara of Mathugamada,Vipin Patidar of Masana and Gopal Darji of Ambara,they all sustained burnt injuries and are admitted to General Hospital Dungarpur.
Soon administrative officials like District Collector, Additional Sp, Deputy Sp of Dungarpur also rushed to the scene to take stock of the situation, SHO said.
SHO further said that the the reason of the explosion is known but police is now investigating if any indiviual is having his hand behind the incidence or not and if any one will be found guilty will be punished.
