Udaipur has witnessed a coronavirus explosion as 58 new positive cases of the virus came to forth on Friday which the took the graph to a total of 80 cases in the district so far.
The information has panicked the administration as well the medical and health department as such a huge number of people were found infected in a single, however the screening is still on.
Cheif Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr.Dinesh Kharadi confirmed that 55 out the 58 of the new cases were found at Kanod Ki Haveli, Kanji Ka Hata area, while 1 positive is found at Meena Pada of Nehru Bazar area and 1case each at Haridasji ki Magri and Neemuch Mata area of the city.
These 55 cases came in light at Kanji Ka Hata area after their sampling was done on Thursday evening after a 30 year old Home Gaurd living at the same area was found infected with Covid-19 virus on Wednesday night, said CMHO
On Thursday the reports of his wife, mother, father and a cousin of the Home Gaurd were also found to be positive while the repot of one of his cousins that is the video journalist at one of the news channel was found negative.
However till Thursday the number of positive cases in Udaipur were 22 including a RAC constable, a 48 year old nurse, a 28 year shopkeeper, a home guard and his relatives, out of these positive cases only two paitents were discharged from the hospital so far.
All the infected people were shifted to the MB hospital for treatment and the screening of their close contacts is still going on.
Veiwing the serious growth in the positive cases the Udaipur administration can impose a Mahacurfew in the district.
