Adi Mahotsav jointly organised by Tribak Research Center and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal started this evening at Udaipur with great pomp and show.
The the 3 days event has been inaugrated by Minister of Tribal Development Government of Rajasthan Arjun Singh Bamniya who was present as the cheif guest.
While inaugurating the Mega Festival Bamniya emphasized on propagating Tribal Culture and safe guard their interest,said Additional Commisioner of Tribal Area development department Anjali Rajoria said.
This festival will give a chance to the people to come across the rich tribal culture and heritage of Rajasthan,it will enhance the understanding of the general public towards various aspects of Tribal Life which they were earlier not aware of,Rajoria added.
The Tribal Development Minister on this occasion also inaugrated a TRIFED Emporium at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal in the presence R.C Meena Chairman of TRIFED.
While speaking on the occasion Bamniya said that Udaipur division is dominated by Tribal communities that manifests with various cultural activities,there many tribal fairs that offers treat to tourists and art lover coming to Udaipur to see the tribal culture.
Divisional Commissioner Bhawani Singh Detha said that through this Mega Festival we will strive to bring the tribal culture close to the urban people who are remaining deprived of such opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion Praveer Krishna Managing Director of TRIFED said that this Festival “Adi Mahotsav’ is special treat for art and culture lovers and public at large as they will witness the most vibrant stage performances and shopping artifacts created by genuine Tribal Craftsmen.
The colorful dance forms like Gair,Dangri,Ghoomar,Walar and Ryaan,Malviya Dance,Sehariya Swang, Gavri ,Phad Vachan and Kacchi Ghodi perfomed by various tribal artists which came from Banwara,Uplafarh,Barmer,Pratapgarh , Baran,Udaipur and Dungarpur caught the attraction during the inaugural event.
Around 40 Craftsmen and Gunjans(Experts of Indigenous medicines and forest products) are demonstrating and sharing their experiences with public at large.
Beside that the Festival will also have a seminar for scholars and enthusiasts in which the key note will be presented by Padmashree Chandra Prakash Dewal,Rajoria added.
