The Head Gaurd of the Treasury Branch of State Bank Of India (SBI) of Udaipur presented an example of honesty by returning an amount of Rs.2.5 lakhs to one of the customer of the bank which he left on the counter of the bank on Tuesday.
The amount is turned out to be of one Naresh Maroo who visited the branch of SBI with Rs. 5 lakhs to get it deposit, he is having two bundles of cash of Rs.25 lakhs each, he took out one of the bundle while filling the deposit voucher but moved ahead in the qou leaving the cash on the counter,later the amount was handed over to the owner,said Shanti Lal a cop from District Special Branch (DSB) Udaipur.
The Guard identified as Ismail Sheikh spotted the bundle of cash on a counter near the gate of the bank ,on finding the huge amount of cash Sheikh immediately rushed to the Branch Manager Brej Kishore and handed him over the cash amounting Rs.2.5 lakhs,Shanti Lal added further.
Kishore scanned the CCTV cameras of the bank and identified the owner of the cash who was standing in the quo unaware of the incidence, he was later handed over tve cash.
It was Shanti Lal the police man of (DSB) Udaipur who later shared the incidence with the SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal.
On the other hand Sheikh who set another example of hummanity by handing over the cash to its real owner was later thanked by him and was honoured by the Bank Staff too for his initiave.
